3rd Lenten Supper
Mac Taylor grew up in Annapolis, MD, exploring and boating on the creeks and marshes off the Severn River. This interest became a career focus leading to a Ph.D. in Physiology from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and postdoctoral research in endocrinology at the University of Pittsburgh. Mac returned to the Bay area as a Research Associate at the University of Delaware, supervising the field sampling operations for the University’s part in an ecological survey of the C & D Canal. He moved on to a faculty position in biology at the University of Delaware, teaching courses in physiology and fish biology and focusing his research on reproductive cycles of local fishes. Since retiring in 2006, Mac has sailed as part of the environmental education team on the skipjack Martha Lewis and become involved in water quality monitoring for the Elk and North East River Watershed Association (ENERWA), in addition to helping with the North Elk Coffee House, St. Mary Anne’s Train Day and the Church cemetery.

Silent Auction needs to begin to assemble nice new, or gently used, garden related items that will generate bidding among our visitors. Donations will be accepted after April 1st. Questions? See Phyllis Doyle
With spring only days away and the 20th Annual Garden Market only 7 weeks away it’s not too early to think about plants to dig for the ECW Plant Table. Pots of various sizes for transplanting as well as tags for labeling and soil will soon be available by the Parish House garage. In April we will set up special times for plant drop off. If you need help digging, please contact Sande Taylor. Extra pots, planters, potting soil, and monetary donations to purchase supplies are also welcome. The Plant committee thanks you!
Thank the Irish!
