The Bishop’s Visit

Last Sunday’s visit by Bishop Santosh Marray was a wonderful celebration. We kept him very busy during our two services!

He received: Adam, Ethan and Elizabeth Reynolds; Ron and Joy Himmel; Paula England; Andrew and Theresa Tonge; Donna Boyd; Marshall Patchell; David Hargarten; Cathy Edge; Joanne Zecca-Veater; Karen Dryden; and Thomas and Elaine Brickner

He confirmed Ethan Kyger and Benigna Polanco

He baptized Neil Llewellyn Tonge

He recognized EFM graduate Bob Doyle

He reaffirmed in the faith: Stephen Naughton,

Vicki Schultheiss, and Steven McBride, Jr.

Dream Big and Leave a Legacy Scholarship Recipient

On June 3rd, our first Dream Big and Leave a Legacy Scholarship, initiated by a generous gift of the Flood family, was awarded to North East High School graduate and parishioner, Ethan Kyger. He is the grandson of Kathy Mullen.

Ethan is an 8:00AM parishioner who helps with ushering, coffee hours, and is a Lector. He also assisted with our Parish Center renovations. He will be confirmed by Bishop Marray this Sunday.

Ethan was awarded an eighteen-hundred-dollar scholarship. This generous scholarship will help him with tuition and books as he attends Cecil College in the fall.

Ron Himmel. He repaired and painted our Vestry House door.
Tim Leizear and Rick Waterhouse. They spread dirt and grass seed beside the new sidewalks.
Linda Gibeck and Karen Schaeffer. They planted the flower barrels at the graveyard entrances and near the Outreach Office. Tourists have been spotted taking pictures of the pretty barrels!

Coffee Hour Volunteers

Coffee Hour Volunteers …..Thank you to those that have recently signed up! There are still more openings to host through the months of August and September. Bring and share some of your morning favorites (fruit, cheese & crackers, muffins, cookies to name a few). Team up with others so it is easy to set up the table, make the coffee, and clean-up. The sign up sheet is on the Parish Center bulletin board— open dates (August 12, 19, 26 and September 2, 9, 16, 30). Please consider helping with this important ministry.
