We will do our 2nd Annual Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday, August 27th at both 8 AM and 10 AM services.
Please bring your empty backpack to church for Father John to bless. You will receive a special gift for your backpack!
August is Diaper Drive Month!
We have had a substantial increase in requests for diapers from our Outreach clients. So we have deemed August “Diaper Drive Month”. We are asking for disposable diapers and baby wipes. Sizes 2 thru 6 are the most requested!Diaper donations will be blessed on the 4th Sunday of the month–August 27th. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Jr. Warden’s Progress Report
We will be painting in the Parish Hall next week, Monday 7/24 through Thursday 7/27. We would love to have many volunteers to move the project along quickly. We will begin at 9:00AM and work until 4:00PM, but any time you can give during the day would be appreciated. If you have brushes for painting the wood trim or a step ladder, bring them along.Andy and Mike Pugh have graciously offered to bring us lunch and feed the crew on Monday! Thanks for your help!
In preparation, I will also be at the Parish Hall at 9:00AM on Saturday 7/22 to get the trim and walls ready for the paint. If you want to come (any time until noon) to lend a hand, please do. Thanks again.
PS: Thanks to our new air-conditioning system, we will be cool and comfortable as we paint!
Wow! An Audio/Visual Sound System!
As you know, improvements are underway to spruce up and modernize our Parish House.
You may have noticed that in April, the Flood family donated and installed a TV in the Parish House foyer for parish announcements. The family will also donate and install a new Audio/Visual sound system, comprising a projector, a drop-down screen, surround sound speakers, and wireless microphones, to enhance our renovated Parish Hall.
We will be able to use this state-of-the art technology system for education presentations, Youth Group and parish activities, and guest speakers.
This new system will be installed within the next couple of weeks–just in time for the start of our church program year!

Safeguarding God’s Children Workshops
All Church School teachers and helpers are required, by the Episcopal Church, to participate in a Safeguarding God’s Children Training Workshop.Two workshops will be offered in our Parish Hall, so choose either Saturday, August 12th from 9-noon; or Saturday, September 23rd from 9-noon, to fulfill this important requirement.
