On Sunday, January 29th, SMA had its Annual Meeting and during it, Father John expressed the parish’s appreciation to outgoing vestry members: Melissa Cook-MacKenzie (Senior Warden), Nancy Leizear (Junior Warden), Andy Flood, Carol Weizel and Terry Brown. During the church service, Melissa was given special recognition for her many years of service as Senior Warden and for her help during the search and transition years. A new banner was given in her honor.
Valentine’s Day Luncheon
Join your fellow parishioner and celebrate Valentine’s Day at our Annual Valentine’s Day Luncheon, in the Parish Hall, on Sunday, February 12th following the 10:00AM Service.
Acolyte Practice
Acolyte Practice will be held on February 12th immediately after the 10:00AM service. We will meet first in the Vestry House. Both youth and adults who are interested in Acolyte training, please see Andy Flood or Fr. John.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held on Tuesday, February 28th from 5:30-7:00PM. Enjoy delicious pancakes the night before Lent begins! We need donations of pancake mix, butter and syrup before February 26th. Questions or want to help? See Jill Holley or Christy Sadler.
John Rutter’s Requiem
John Rutter’s Requiem, a service of Prayer and Word in Music, will be presented by St. Mary Anne’s Choir on Palm Sunday afternoon, April 9th, at 4:00PM. Get the word out to friends and family who like to sing, and have them contact our Director of Music, Steve McBride for details.
