Crocus Planting on Saturday!

October 22, 2021 by St Mary Anne Admin

Crocus Planting on Saturday!
Join us from 9 to Noon!
The weather promises to be seasonable and pleasant on Saturday–the perfect weather for planting crocus bulbs to enlarge our spring crocus blossom display in our historic churchyard.
We can use your help to plant 6700 bulbs around the perimeter of the church. Even if you didn’t purchase bulbs for this activity, we need lots of planters to help plant them. The bulbs are easy to plant, and it is a nice safe activity for couples and families.
Please join in to help us that day!

October 22, 2021 by St Mary Anne Admin

On December 18 at 12:00 pm, 2021, Wreaths Across America will be at St. Mary Anne’s Cemetery to remember and honor our veterans through the laying of remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes.
We are halfway to our goal of 90 wreaths! Help us secure enough wreaths for this year’s event by donating here.

Wednesday Women

October 22, 2021 by St Mary Anne Admin

Twenty-two women enjoyed good food and conversation at the inaugural Wednesday Women luncheon this week in our Parish Hall.
Women from both services are encouraged to join in for fellowship and food on the third Wednesday of each month from 11:30 to 1PM in the Parish Hall. Mark your calendars for the next one: November 17!
More details and reservations to follow in the next few weeks.

It’s Back! The 2022 Garden Market Planning Begins!

October 22, 2021 by St Mary Anne Admin

We are excited to plan our 2022 Garden Market! After a two year forced hiatus, we are eager to see our Garden Market blossom again on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30.
In order to see it bloom, we need to “till the ground” and “plant the seeds” with a planning meeting. Both experienced and new leaders, and helpers, are needed to make our Market flourish again.
Please join us on Tuesday, November 2, at 7:00PM in the Vestry House for a planning meeting. Now is the time to “jump in” to share your ideas, and become part of a wonderful church/community event.

Commitment Sunday, October 31, 2021

October 22, 2021 by St Mary Anne Admin

Annual pledges support everything we do and are at St. Mary Anne’s. Your gift is spent on all aspects of our worship, outreach, and community life.
In order to know what we can do each year, we need to receive pledge commitments on which to develop an annual budget. Decisions about spending are made by clergy and our Vestry, the church’s governing body whose membership is drawn from and elected by parishioners like you. Each fall, your parish Finance Committee prepares the operating budget for the next fiscal year; then it’s reviewed and approved by the Vestry by year end.
Operating budget income is directly funded by parishioner pledges. On Commitment Sunday, October 31, we complete our pledge cards with a dollar amount that reflects both a sacrifice and a generous and thankful spirit. We turn in those pledge cards during our Offertory. If you forget to bring your pledge card there will be some available in church.
For those of you remaining at home, you can confidentially pledge online by clicking the blue pledge button above.
At St. Mary Anne’s, every pledge, no matter what amount, makes a valued contribution to our mission and ministry. Thank you for your commitment to St. Mary Anne’s.
