Commitment Sunday & Luncheon

Rooted in the past, reaching for the future

The ECW is sponsoring a new holiday event that promises to be extra sweet–a Cookie Walk!
Visitors and parishioners will have the opportunity to purchase homemade Christmas cookies and candy by the pound. Besides cookies, vendor tables, and children’s Christmas carols will be part of this family friendly event.
We are asking parishioners of the church to donate 10 dozen of your family favorite homemade cookies. We will need small attractive festive Christmas cookies. A large variety is very important. Cookies sell very quickly, so we will need lots of baking help!
Sign-up sheets will be available soon. If you need cookie recipes or ideas, contact amy.argudo@verizon.net.
Hello Everyone! I am very excited to announce that the St. Mary Anne’s Wreaths across America TM webpage is now available! For those of you that do not know, Saturday, December 17, 2016, St. Mary Anne’s Cemetery will participate in Wreaths across America TM. We will be placing wreaths on the graves of veterans buried in the cemetery following a ceremony, which will be held promptly at noon on this day. However, in order to lay the wreaths we must first raise enough money for the sixty wreaths we plan to place. There are two different ways you can help donate:
Thank you so much for supporting this project. I am beyond delighted to introduce this opportunity to St. May Anne’s. I will be providing more information in the coming months. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me either by phone or email, as I am very active with both.

Come and take part in a Women’s Fellowship Day with the ladies of St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church. During this day long event, we will look at ways to unclutter our lives and our souls. All of us have so much going on in our lives—and we are often on overload. Many of us have so much stuff—literally and figuratively! Wouldn’t it be great to try to simplify our lives—especially before the hectic holiday season?
Based on a wonderful book called Simplify by Bill Hybels, we’ll look together at ways to simplify our lives and, in the process, draw closer to God and one another. The day will be a mix of learning, sharing and activities—and of course, fellowship and fun!
Join us on Saturday, November 12, 2016; 8:30AM-4:00PM at The Blue Heron Grille, Chesapeake Bay Golf Club in North East. Breakfast and Lunch will be Provided. Cost is $45.00 (includes food and presentation materials). Register by October 24th (cap of 40 attendees, so register early!).
Committee Members and Presenters for this event are: Barbara England, Wendy Gilbert, Kathi Litchenstein, Dawn Rodenbaugh & Karen Schaeffer
Limited scholarship funds available—please see Karen Schaeffer for details
The liturgy of investiture for Bishop Santosh Marray will be joyfully celebrated on Saturday, October 15, on the feast of St. Teresa of Avila at 11 am at the Todd Performing Arts Center, Chesapeake College, Wye Mills. The liturgy will begin with a time of Praise and Worship at 10:30 am, and you are encouraged to arrive by 10:30 am. In addition to those who will be serving in the liturgy and other guests, seating will be available for about 400. The service will also be live streamed for those who can not attend, and the mission clusters are encouraged to make arrangements for those who wish to gather in local areas to watch the liturgy together. Information for how to view the service will be forthcoming.
