We are in need of volunteers to provide childcare during our 10:30AM Sunday Services. With multiple volunteers, we can have a rotating schedule and this will enable parents to worship. We will assist with training and appropriate clearances as required by the Diocese of Easton.
Childcare will be provided in the Vestry House until the classrooms are made ready for our church school program in September. The church school program will be held between the two Sunday services, so childcare during the 10:30 service will be an ongoing need. Please consider helping with this worthwhile ministry. See Father John for questions and interest.
Adult Education is back! 9:30-10:15 in our Parish Hall. We’ll begin with….
The Story of Anglicanism. An exceptional history of the Anglican Church on DVD narrated in three half-hour parts by actor Michael York. Study Guide provided.
Fr. John will answer questions after each session.
July 10- Part 1: Ancient and Medieval Foundations. The roots of our tradition are traced in the evolution and mission and ministry of the pre-Reformation English Church.
July 17-No adult education program due to John Thyhsen postlude concert between services
July 24- Part 2: Reformation and Its Consequences. Henry VIII’s often misunderstood break with papal authority initiates the shaping of classical Anglicanism.
July 31- 5th Sunday- Parish Picnic- no adult education program
August 7- Hymns and Hymnody, an introduction to Church Music with Director of Music Steve McBride
August 14-Part 3: Creating a Global Family. The Anglican genius for adaptation is seen in its response to the modern world and its evolution into a worldwide communion.
We will host a Children’s Choir Camp this summer, under the direction of Steve McBride our Music Director. Singers will have the opportunity to improve their singing skills and musicianship. At the end of the week, campers will present a short performance of what they learned.
The camp will be held on August 1st thru the 5th. 9:00AM-4:00PM.
To be eligible to participate in this camp, students must be entering 3rd through 7th grade and have an unchanged singing voice.
