A Helping Hand is Needed! The Rotating Homeless Shelter seeks volunteers!We are participating in the Rotating Homeless Shelter from January 23rd thru February 5th. We will be organizing meals for two weeks and also providing volunteers to staff the shelter during that time.
Volunteers are needed to provide general supervision, respond to questions or individual needs, make sure coffee, water & snacks are available, provide access to medication, supervise hourly smoke breaks. The evening meal is at 6:00pm and afterwards volunteers can chat, play games, or watch movies with the guests. Lights out at 10pm and everyone should be in bed until lights on at 6:00am.
The Schedule:
4:30 pm – 6:00 pm – Intake
5:30pm – 10:00 pm – Evening Shift (Lights out at 10pm)
10:00 pm – 6:00 am – Overnight Shift
6:00 am – 7:30 am – Morning Shift

PLEASE NOTE: The Emergency Rotating Shelter dinner committee is in need of paper products, detergent, drink mixes, etc. for the two weeks we coordinate dinners. If you would like to donate any of these items we will have a list available following the Sunday services. Please leave donated items in the Vestry House or kitchen by January 22. Thank you!
