Steve McBride, Director of Music
Steve holds a Bachelor of Music, Music Education, from West Chester University, with a concentration in Voice, Organ, and Conducting.Mr. McBride is very active as a vocal coach, accompanist, and conductor. In addition to his experience as a high school Choral Director, Steve maintains a private studio for voice lessons and vocal coaching. In 2010 he formed the Valley Forge Chorale, an auditioned concert choir based in King of Prussia, PA. Under his direction the chorale has grown from its founding membership of 20 singers to over 65 singers, with a full artistic and production staff.In addition to his teaching, Mr. McBride has been Music Director / Conductor of several musical theatre productions including Into the Woods, Les Miserables, Pajama Game, Camelot, South Pacific, Grease, My Fair Lady, Cinderella, Sound of Music, Trial by Jury, and King and I. Most recently, Mr. McBride was the music director and Pianist/Conductor for West Chester University Opera Workshop’s production Bonnets and BLING!. He was privileged to hold this role, as the production was the world premiere of Mathew Hardy and Robert Maggio’s original two-act musical. Additionally, Steve has directed summer theatre workshops, master classes, and camps, including several years’ residence as artistic director for OPERADelaware’s summer artist program.A consummate musician, Mr. McBride has served churches as organist/choir director for over 20 years, and has been serving St. Mary Anne’s since 2016.
Joan Gaffney, Parish Administrator
Joan recently began her position with ST. Mary Anne’s but brings a wealth of knowledge to this position since she served at another local church some years ago. Joan resides in Elkton with her husband and daughter. She is very active in the Cecil County 4-H program.
Andrea Pugh, Treasurer
Andrea has been a member of St. Mary Anne’s for 36 years. She has been a North East resident since she was seven years old. She currently lives in Elk Neck with her husband, Mike. Andrea is the mother of three grown children and grandmother to nine. She is retired from the University of Delaware.
During the time she has been at SMA, she has served on almost all the committees and has been the current treasurer for 6 years. She is a member of the Women’s Civic League of North East; Treasurer of the Children’s Home Foundation; and board member of the Cecil County Public Library Foundation.
Louise Berg, Financial Associate
Louise has been a member of St. Mary Anne’s for 40 years. She resides in North East with her husband Bob. They have one daughter, Laura, and two sons, Matt & Rob. Louise is a grandmother to four grandchildren: Mikeala, Samantha and Sarah Berg and Jacob Walz.
Louise has a BS in Science from Drexel University. She spent most of her professional life in financial and retirement planning for a division of Citigroup. For a number of years, she also did income tax preparation for H&R Block. During her free time, Louise has always enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and dance.
Donne Lewis, Outreach Coordinator
Donne has been a member of St. Mary Anne’s for 40 years, after moving to Cecil County in the early 1970’s. She lives between Elkton and North East with her husband Ed, and their two four-legged sons (aka dogs!). They also have two grandsons, Kade & Mason.
After retiring from Delaware Express Company, after 33 years, Donne has been involved with our Outreach Program, first as the Treasurer and then, as the Coordinator. She is active in many aspects of the church community: She is a Worship Leader, a Eucharistic Visitor, and participates on the Mission, Worship, Pastoral Care and Fellowship Committees. In any spare time, Donne enjoys reading and exploring new places with Ed.
